The world needs more places like this one! I have to say, I was skeptical about those quinoa hash browns, but omg, they taste magnificent! Eggs were cooked perfectly. And for once I was comfortable and delightfully pleased about the atmosphere of the restaurant and sweet Miss Betty- that I did not take a photo of my food to share. But it was like no other breakfast I have had- without being on a Mission trip. Food for the body and the soul. I highly recommend this place. Update: adding photo of my Divine blessing plate this morning. Those hashbrowns are still great!

While in Ft. Wayne I was looking for a breakfast place on Google & found a place that looked like they had several healthy options. My wife's diet is extremely limited, for health reasons, so I figured this would be right up our alley.. & it was 5 minutes away. PERFECT. It was called A Divine Encounter Café & the food was delicious, but the experience was like none that I've ever had at any restaurant before. We were met with a warm greeting from Miss Betty & immediately felt right at home. She began sharing her testimony about how overcoming drug addiction through her faith led her to opening the restaurant. Once sober she felt better putting healthy food in her body & wanted to make healthy food available for others. She also told us that she provided work opportunities for others that were down on their luck & needed a fresh start getting on their feet. She had our undivided attention with her story, but politely excused herself because the longer we talked, the longer we'd have to wait on our food.. she was also the cook! Our dishes came out in little to no time, but were definitely worth the wait. Everything was hot, fresh, & delicious. After we ate, Miss Betty introduced us to a few others that were still in the Café, & before we all left.. she gathered us together for a prayer before we all headed out in our different directions. I'm not sure when I'll be in Ft. Wayne again, but whenever it may be.. I'll be stopping in Miss Betty's Café for another Divine Encounter.

A divine encounter indeed! The Lord is working in this cafe without a doubt! From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed by the owner Betty. The cafe itself is cozy, clean, and comforting, and the staff is attentive and kind. The food is amazing, healthy, and flavorful! 10/10. A wholesome experience I'll cherish forever. No matter where you're at in life who you are or what you believe in you will be welcomed with open arms and loved. Come as you are and leave covered in his grace.

From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted at the door by the owner with a warm and welcoming smile. The service was incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. The food? Absolutely fantastic fresh, flavorful, and made with love. The atmosphere added to the charm: cozy, inviting, and full of purpose. What stood out most was the mission behind the cafe. It’s clear they’ve gone out of their way to offer opportunities to those who might be overlooked elsewhere. They’re not just serving meals they’re helping people get back on their feet and teaching them valuable skills in customer service and hospitality. That kind of heart and purpose is rare. Such a warm and inviting space in the midst of the busy Fort! The Divine Encounter Cafe is more than just a cafe • it's a sanctuary where you can truly experience the Love of the Lord . The atmosphere is something you don't just feel; you Encounter Divine moments while nourishing your soul. Betty, the owner, has clearly answered her calling and we are blessed so blessed to reap the rewards of her vision and dedication. The beautiful souls that show up at perfect times are absolute and we get to experience His work on another level.
